The fourth ever edition of the Palliative Care Grand Rounds is up at the Medical Futility Blog, having grown by leaps and bounds since it started last January.    I am honored to have been included after a long carnival absence.

Grand Rounds is up at first time host, Nursing Handover, where she does a bang up job with accompanying photos that almost steal the show from the wonderful posts.

Surge X Periences has been posted at Other Things Amanzi with an equally impressive montage of African Wildlife to organize compelling tales of the OR.

Also, check out the last editions of the Disability blog carnival and Change of Shift, while a bit older, are definitely worth the look if you missed them, and just think, more will be on the way shortly.

The 64th edition of the neuroscience carnival encephalon has arrived at the Neurocritic.  Head on over there for the best of the web including me, myself.  Of course you could just scroll down for my article but then you would miss all the other good stuff.

Also, the latest Grand Rounds carnival is up at Emergiblog.  They did not include me because I did not submit anything.  However, you still can’t miss with an awesome Napolean Dynamite theme–Gosh.  So go and enjoy the best of the medical blogosphere.

Ground Rounds is here, as Samurai at Not totally Rad celebrates his first blogaversary by hosting.  He has a host of great world of medicine posts including one of mine.  Check it out for the best medical stuff on the web.

Grand Rounds is out with a Science Fiction flare at the In Sickness and Health blog.  The nursing perspective is also out with Change of Shift up at Crzegrl: flight nurse.  Remember,

Doctors save lives, Nurses save doctors and lives.

Also, the voting for the first annual People’s Health Blogger awards has been extended through the end of the month for those who were discouraged by the long waits.  Click on the upper left hand button to give me a boost and join my untold legions of fans.

That is all.  Enjoy.

This weeks’ Grand Rounds is up at a chronic dose, featuring what the contributors, myself included, thought was their best post of the year, making for some very high quality stuff.  So which post did I submit–you will just have to go there and see if I made a terrible mistake, or not.  Check it out for the best medical blogging on the web.

In other blatant self promoting news, At Wellsphere, voting is ongoing for the people’s health blogger awards, and thanks to me, I am in the running.  To vote, just click on the very prominent badge on my sidebar, or follow the above link.   I would greatly appreciate the support and vote of those three people who read regularly and anyone else who may feel so inclined.

I am also very excited to announce that Mind, Soul, and Body has been nominated for Best new medical Weblog established 2008 at the Medical Blog awards at Medgadget.  My humble thanks to Disillusioned for picking up on my hint.  I had feared in my own irrational way that no one would take me up on it.  I will announce when it is time for the actual voting, and if I made the cut.  I really do appreciate any support.

And we’re back, time once again for a run down of the very best, most interesting, most educational, most inspiring, and most bizarre stuff I’ve been able to pick up here and there wandering the internet between actual work.    This time I have the anatomy of hope, the anatomy of gummi bears, heady philosophy from the likes of Descartes and Barth, the link between marshmallows and intelligence, sculpting shadows and lots more.  So have a seat and enjoy the very best of that my meanderings of the ethernet led to- Read the rest of this entry »

This week’s Grand Rounds is up at the anesthesioboist.  Check it out for a wealth of great posts on healthcare, education, policy, doctoring, the body, health and wellness, and just plain old goodness.

A very special 50th Grand Rounds is up with Dr. Val borrowing both Kevin, MD and Emergiblog as she is without an IP address to call her own.  Check it out for the very best of the past week in medicine on the blogs.  Encephalon #54 is up this week as well at Neurophilosophy, for the best of neuroscience.   To round it all out Brainblogger has the latest brainblogging carnival up as well to bring the human and multidimensional side of the mind beyond the sciences.  Enjoy.
